Almost the end of July, almost the Days of 47 in Utah! Almost the high point of Summer and almost the beginning of Peach Days!!! I was in Hurricane a couple of weeks ago, middle of apricot season, I did get a few bottles of jam put up, it is yummy! I really miss having access to the fresh fruit and produce, I have to look for a road side fruit stand for my fruit, about the first part of August we start seeing produce come from the Western Slope although with the price of fuel this year, it might be a little scarce. Not too many adventures to write about this week, mostly been cleaning around the house, you know if you clean the clutter out of your closets and rooms, you therapuetically clean the clutter from your mind.

I've decided to move on from Grand Dynamics and am in the process of winding it down. I really love everything that GDI stands for and the work they do is phenominal, but timing just isn't right and I am very restless. I'm working on bringing a new product to market "Strapped 4 Cash" I am in the design stages now of the first product which will be a band system that holds money and credit cards tightly so you can just easily slip them into your front pocket. I should have proptypes in the next couple of weeks, so I'll do my best to give you a preview.

This week I'm gearing up to head to Coeur d'Alene Idaho for a cousin reunion with Bruce. On Sunday afternoon Bruce heads home and JWPQ (Earletta Spreadbury alias Jean Kistler) will be picking me up and we are off on a girl's adventure. We will be driving cross country to Leavenworth, WA where we will meet up with Karen Stevens and then we will be off to Seattle. We will poke around Seattle and most likely take a ferry trip through the San Juan Islands. I am really excited, it should be a TON of fun. 4 days of just poking and seeing what there is to see, should have some stories and pictures to share!

Happy July to everyone. Just celebrated Independence day with an incredible view of the valley fireworks. From the Hurricane Hill, you could see Leeds, St. George and Washington along with a very awesome front row seat to the Hurricane fireworks show. It was really pretty sitting in the dark, hearing the booms and watching the explosions. It never gets old, I was blown away and loved every second of it.

Its hard not to get a little sappy on the 4th of July, little things make me tear up like the national anthem, the flag, uniforms, etc. We put up our new flag pole on the 4th and raised a huge new flag. It was a great thing to witness. Later that weekend, I went outside around 11:00 and just stared up at the beautiful sky. The stars were really shining and it was a clear almost cool night. Made me grateful to be alive and helped put things into perspective. We are all just a part of a bigger picture, none of us are bigger or better than the other. I wonder if someone was looking down on the world, would it seem as beautiful to them as it is for us to look up at the heavens...
