Blog worthy

So, I got a nudge today via text. Here goes nothing... Holidays are alwasy a little hard for me, then my birthday and aging which isn't going over very well with me either, then the dreaded January gloom usually sets in and live just feels a little boring for awhile. So that's the last 3 weeks in a nutshell, but here are the highlights:

It's been unusually warm for January, despite a couple wimpy snow falls, the sun has been shining and it's supposed to hit 60 tomorrow! YEA!

My brother Dan got a job, a good job and even though it is away from his family out in Kansas, the pluses are - he has a good job with bennies, he gets to stop in here coming and going so I get to see him (I love that part) and you can see a little of the pressure being relieved. He's coming through next Thursday and I think I'm going to hitch a ride with him to Hurricane for the weekend, 10 hours with my big brother...sweet!

Speaking of Hurricane, I got a new great nephew. Welcome to the world Elijah! What a studly little stunner he is. I think he looks a lot like another nephew, Andy, but there's still a little bit of his dad in there so its all good! Congrats Tricia, Ryan and Brecken! Can't wait to see you guys again!

I've been flying every week and spending quality time with my pilot pose down at KAPA. That is always a good thing.

Indian Market and Pow Wow at the Denver Mart, I love going and seeing everything. I love the costumes and no, I didn't get any pictures (what the heck is wrong with me? Oh yeah, January Gloom) and I didn't buy anything, well except for some jerky and CowTown Corn Relish, which doesn't count. Amazing, but I didn't come away with one single shiny piece of silver or turquoise...I really need to have a talk with myself.

Work, work, work. Grateful for a job, but I hate working for a living, it really interfers with everything else I want to do.

Despite many tried and failed attempts, Hoss' ear is still flopping, resolution...love him anyway, floppy ear and all.

And finally, making good on the goals of getting back to feeling like me. Working on conquering the headaches (some days I'm winning, some days...NOT)today was a great day! I'm out walking again, and ending everyday with Yoga, which is awesome! Shortly I will start adding in some pilates and light weights but for now, I really love getting the stretching and flexibility going, it makes me sleep like a baby.

Well, I warned you, nothing earth shattering going on here, just life and happily looking at the end of the January Gloom. Really, I am in a good place, happy, healthy, resolved, hopeful, grateful and in control of my destiny. It's a beautiful thing. Bring on February and the hint of Spring!

I have missed your blogs, so it is good to see an update. I also suffer from January Gloom (love that term)and am more that anxious for Spring to hit. Here's to a better month ahead of us :-)
